He stole the melody of the hebrew song ’Kuma Ekha’ (Rise Up, Brother), that was written in the mid 20th, by Ytskhak Shenhar, lyrics and Shalom Postolsky, music, in Israel (than Palestine).
the melody was brought to the USSR by the composer Zinovy Kompanyets who visited Palestine.
Dunayevskiy was not ashamed to include this song in his combinated piece ’Dunaida’, bringing some of his best song.
