In the land of Bolshevism
The Russian Bolsheviks not only decided to stay with undivided power in Russia at all costs, but also are trying by spending huge amounts of money to inculcate the Bolshevik bacillus outside the borders of Sovdepia.
It must be admitted that they have improved up to the smallest details the agitation apparatus that disseminates subversive slogans, and use the latest technical achievements in their action.
Our engraving above shows an interesting scene of how the Bolshevik Minister of Education (the so-called Commissar of Education) A. V. Lunacharsky records on a special phonograph equipment one of those big propaganda speeches that, being multiplied in hundreds of thousands of copies, then wanders in the form of innocent gramophone records to the deafest corners of Russia and with impunity leads the naive listeners into temptation.
Our soldiers, occupying a large expanse of eastern lands after the escaping Bolsheviks, find in almost every village and town in peasant huts excellent phonographs with a rich selection of propaganda speeches by Lenin, Trotsky, Lunacharsky and many other Bolshevik figures.
This way of gaining followers has undoubtedly many good points. And above all, it has many times protected the speaker from too tangible arguments of criticism from the rock solid connoisseurs of tsarism.
After all, a phonograph record is not your cheek or neck.
